Ford F350 Top Speed

2013 6.7 tops out at 95MPH, how can I override this? Is there a trick to do it or do I need to have the dealer do it?
Please don't ask why I want to do this, it is a personal choice. I could run 120 in my old 7.3.
I should control my speed, not Ford!

what raul said you will need a tuner to remove the speed limiter and also make sure your tires can handle the speeds. You dont want to have a catastrophic tire failure at those speeds. Im pretty sure that 6.7 will do better then 120 depending on what gears your running

It's because of the tires and driveline. Also, from a safety perspective, a 100+ mph 8,000 lb hunk of metal could do down serious damage.

Doesn't all newer trucks limit speed between 95-100 with the exception of maybe a couple

get a tuner. Also, Ford puts that on there so they don't get sued by some idiot that got in an accident because he was going faster then the vehicle is setup to do safely and wants easy money.

Ram is 105. Chevy is 100. Ford is 95.

When installing programmer it will ask if you want to adjust it. Set mine on 200. lol No it will never see it.

Mine has seen 135mph once or twice. And not for very long since I don't have tires rated for that speed

Yeah I was pretty bummed when I was driving through Texas. I think I drove at 95 MPH for three hours. I wish it had more. I made it from Pheonix to San Antonio in 16 hrs.

I got a ticket for going 106 on 70. Im glad he did not get me for "reckless driving".
The cop kept staring at the truck and his gun...............back and forth in disbelief.............. saying : " WTF. Is that right???? I just got this laser gun. Its NEW"
I go : " Yeah. But is it accurate?".
When I saw his reaction to that, I thought to myself I better STFU.
That same day I adjusted my limiter back down to 95........... but still $640 later..........oh well.

Your lucky! Doubling the speed limit can immediately put you in jail... At least that's the law around here. And with 55mph limits everywhere, 110 mph and your behind bars.

should of adjusted it back to 95 then had the police try to make it hit 106 if they cant prove you did 106 it has to be thrown out. you have 48 hours to prove a ticket is faulty and its thrown out immediately i got clocked at 117 and set my limiter back to 95 ticket thrown out next day.

What department is going to waste their time driving YOUR vehicle to see if it goes 106? Much less, the next day? They have their own track? Sorry no offense but, this falls under don't believe everything you read on the Internet.

I hope everyone realizes most truck tires aren't rated for that kind of speed. I've only been to about 110 in my duramax and that was pretty scary with that large of a vehicle.
Now in my marauder... triple digits are smooth sailing.

I think mine hit 160....
...on the dyno
(I could be wrong about that, but I think that's what I remember from the screen)
